Using a 4200000 Safe Streets For All Grant, Henderson County is funding consultant services for signs, LIDAR-based analysis, and road widening planning. The County Engineer estimated consulting costs at 200000–250000 per service and reported that selection was made via a point‑based evaluation before pricing, resulting in the Fiscal Court awarding the sign and LIDAR consulting contract to Bacon Farmer Workman and the road widening consulting contract to Palmer Engineering. While the primary consulting contracts have been awarded, the grant covers only professional services, not the eventual sign purchase/replacement or road widening construction.
