Baltimore County Council is asked on July 6, 2026 to approve two contracts of sale to acquire 1.599 acres of drainage, utility, and temporary construction easements for the Gunpowder to White Marsh Sewer System Improvement project. One $120,980 acquisition from Tinta Mohamed covers 0.831 acre at 4534 Silver Spring Road in Perry Hall (DR-1), and a second $96,800 acquisition from Columbia Capital, LLC covers 0.768 acre at 1465 Mohrs Lane in Middle River (primarily BM), both for permanent easements and temporary construction areas. These are the eighth and ninth of 78 total acquisitions, about 24 of which require Council approval, for a project funded with $211.4 million between FY 2016 and FY 2026, including $205.5 million for construction and $5.9 million for design, permitting, and property acquisition. The stated purpose is to make the County’s sewer infrastructure more resilient and sustainable and reduce raw sewage overflow risk, indicating substantial ongoing and future work for engineering, construction, and related services. Vendors can position for remaining design, construction, rehabilitation, and restoration packages, as well as additional easement-related work and downstream O&M needs as the multi‑year project continues.
