During the Manager’s update, the town reported that a State Revolving Fund loan request for $6197000 had been approved, with $5898000 in loan forgiveness and only $299000 to be repaid. Manager Rick Owen noted that Director Kevin Hodges worked with McGill Engineering on the application and that a number of significant projects will be funded under this package. The projects include substantial utilities work and a town-wide SCADA project that is also under review by the town’s insurance and FEMA, indicating upcoming design, integration, and construction activity. While McGill appears to be the lead engineer, there will likely be opportunities for controls integrators, SCADA/telemetry vendors, construction contractors, and specialty utility suppliers to participate as the town breaks this funding into specific projects and procurements.
